Effect of statutory right to division or possession of property
49Any right given to a spouse under section 2, 3 or 4 to a division of property, or under section 18, 23 or 26 to the possession of property, does not constitute an interest in property owned by the other spouse and, except if otherwise provided in this Act or an order made under this Act, shall not be construed so as to prevent the spouse who owns marital property from disposing of that property as if this Act had not been passed.
